Runnin' for Sullivan
On July 11, 2007, at the tender age of 10 weeks, little Sullivan Farrar was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia.
I wanted to fight Leukemia alongside my young nephew and to show my support for my sister and her husband, Tabitha and Jason, as they engage in this battle with their son.
On October 7, 2007, I will run the Steamtown Marathon, and on November 10, 2007, I will run the Richmond Marathon to honor Sully and to raise money for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society invests $61 million annually in support of more than 200 researchers, provides financial assistance to patients, sponsors scientific conferences around the country, produces educational materials and videos, and runs over 50 support groups nationwide. Because they receive no federal funding, they depend on you for continued support of these needed programs.
